In June 2010 members of the congregation met and were encouraged to embark on setting up an Op Shop in a little used shed in the church grounds. Sorting and ironing were performed in the heritage cottage, also on site, but not an ideal situation. The shed was very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. However, this was how it started and was very successful. Soon, we were looking to expand and make life more comfortable for customers and volunteers.

After looking at several options we were lucky enough to be able to purchase a relocatable home and in January 2012 we opened the doors to our newly renovated shop. Not long after air-conditioning was installed creating a much better environment for both staff and customers.

Now our success is very much due to our fantastic band of volunteers, their hard work and dedication has allowed the Op shop to go from strength to strength. Many of our customers are regulars and have become our friends. We listen to their stories and support them in many ways.

We support Kincumber Uniting Church with a monthly donation & other contribution where needed in the community.

We stock a good range of clothing and accessories, shoes, books,
kitchenware, glass and bric-a-brac at very reasonable prices.
